The weekend

Join the Charity Symphony for a weekend break to Cornwall to play some fantastic music. This is an excellent opportunity to push yourself and have a go at playing something you may not have the chance to perform in your current ensembles. Aside from the music making, this is a fantastic social event with plenty of time to get to know new people and make new friends.

We will have relaxed rehearsals on Saturday and Sunday followed by an informal performance of some of the music early Sunday evening. On Monday we will have a trip to Bude before making our return to Southampton.

The repertoire

Over the weekend we will be looking at the following music. The repertoire chosen will be a challenge and also a lot of fun.

Itinerary*

Saturday 5th
  • Travel to Cornwall
  • check in and lunch
  • afternoon rehearsal
  • PM, clubhouse for drinks and entertainment

Sunday 6th
11am morning rehearsal
1pm lunch break
2pm afternoon rehearsal 
4pm rehearsal finishes
5pm informal performance of music (not all pieces)
7pm onwards, drinks and entertainment

Monday 7th
  • check out
  • trip to Bude
  • depart for Southampton
  • arrive Southampton

Accommodation

Self catered accommodation at Penstowe Holiday Park. More details to follow.

Cost

The cost for the weekend will be: £70** per person including a £10 deposit payable as soon as possible to secure a place to play. Cost includes self-catering accommodation and return coach from Southampton. Payment information will be displayed on the conformation page.
